About Lélia Salles

From the recorder to fullstack

I am Lélia Salles — recorder player composer, educator, fullstack developer, and founder of the edtech Master Música. My journey is driven by curiosity, the desire to create bridges between seemingly distant universes, and the conviction that art, technology, and education can, and must, complement each other.

I am a professional who moves between art, technology, and education. As a flautist, composer, and full-stack developer, I seek to unite tradition and innovation. My mission is to create experiences that promote artistic expression and human development in a creative and sustainable way.

The Sweet Flute as Gift and Mission

The recorder is the thread that runs through my story. It was through it that I found my voice, my expression, and my path in the world.

I am immensely grateful for everything that this instrument has provided me — stages, travels, friendships, discoveries, and profound internal transformations. Each note carries the energy of the people who have been by my side on this journey.

I thank my family, who have always supported me even in the face of challenges; to the teachers committed to excellence, such as Paulo da Mata, Bernardo (UNESP), Ricardo Kanji, and so many others; and, above all, to God — for the music that resides within me and for the doors that have opened through it.

From the School of Music in Brasília to the award at the Wharfedale Music Festival in England, I continue to play with purpose, bringing sound, affection, and freedom to the stages and hearts..

More details

Composition with Awareness and Heart

Composition entered my life at a time of uncertainty, when everything seemed unstable — and yet, music showed me the way.

At 17, I began working with music workshops in communities and public schools through what was then the Department of the Environment of the Federal District. There, I understood that composing was not just about writing sounds, but also about creating spaces for listening, dialogue, and belonging..

This experience shaped me as a social artist: it was where I developed critical awareness, empathy, and the conviction that art can — and must — improve the human environment around us.

Since then, my creation has been influenced by causes and contexts. I have already written works for environmental education projects, bringing this knowledge to enrich the content of my music education classes..
